Minor Ailments/Eye and Dental Problems

Most minor ailments can be dealt with by your pharmacist. If you have an eye problem, your first point of contact should be your optician, and for dental problems please contact your dentist.

Clinic Times

MONDAY-8AM-10.00AM (extended hours from 7.30am)

TUESDAY: - 8.30AM-10AM

WEDNESDAY: - 8.30AM-10AM

THURSDAY: - 8.30AM-10AM

FRIDAY: - 8.30AM-10AM

You must call the surgery BEFORE 10am .  You will not be able to specify which GP you speak to/see.  Staff will ask you details of you call.   Depending on what your calling in for you will be able to request  either a F2F appointment or a telephone appointment.  Please note that some issues will require a F2F appointment, if staff advise you of this please do not be verbally abusive towards them.

In an emergency, details of the medical problem MUST be given to the receptionist in order for the Doctor to prioritise patients who need immediate care. 

One patient per appointment please.

An interpreter service is available.

All calls to the surgery are recorded.

Home Visits

Home visits are for the truly house bound only. Please make the request before 10:00am. Please consider that it is difficult to examine patients properly without the facilities at the surgery.

To arrange for a home visit, telephone our reception desk on 01505 321051.

As you know we currently send text messages to you to remind you of appointments, information on public holidays and healthcare information. In order for us to comply with the law, we require you to let us know if  you OPTIN or OPTOUT of receiving text messages from us. We would appreciate it if you would let us know your requirements.  If you have OPTEDOUT and have now decided you would like to receive messages from us please contact the surgery and we will update your records.

Test Results

Test results are usually reported back and available in 10 days. Please call reception on 01505 321051. Monday to Friday for your results. Do not assume if we do not call you then the result is normal.

Due to patient confidentiality we will not give out results to anyone other than the patient, unless the patient is a child.

If you wish someone else to obtain your results on your behalf please contact the surgery and inform reception of who this representative will be and your consent for them to do so, or fill in the below form and hand it into the surgery. 

Consent form to share information with relative/carer

Dr Cooper and Partners have in place a system where telephone calls made to and from the surgery are recorded.  The calls are recorded and  are held on a dedicated and secure PC. 

The calls can only be accessed by the Practice Manager/Assistant Practice Manager or a GP.  

The calls are only accessed if there is concerns about a call i.e  a complaint, a query is raised about clinical advice given or where threats are received. 

In rare circumstances we made need to share data with other bodies, such as the police in the case of serious threats being made against the practice or its staff.
