Appointments

We operate a telephone triage system.  You will not be able to specify which GP you speak to/see. Staff will ask you details of you call. The doctor will triage your call accordingly.  They  will use the information you give to choose the most suitable doctor, nurse or health professional to help you.

Please note that some issues will require a F2F appointment. Please ensure staff have the correct contact details for you.

To request an appointment:- Phone lines open at 8am 01505 326790

In an emergency, details of the medical problem MUST be given to the receptionist in order for the Doctor to prioritise patients who need immediate care.

If you need help when we are closed

If you need medical help now, use NHS 24 online or Call 111.

NHS 24 online is for people aged 5 and over. Call 111 if you need help for a child under 5.

Call 999 in a medical or mental health emergency. This is when someone is seriously ill or injured and their life is at risk.

Home visits

Home visits are for the truly house bound only. Please make the request before 10:00am. Please consider that it is difficult to examine patients properly without the facilities at the surgery.

To arrange for a home visit, telephone our reception desk on 01505 321051.

Urinary Tract Infection - UTIs

Due to new guidelines, your GP is no longer the first port of call for urine infections (UTI). If you are female and aged 16-65 and think you may have a UTI you should now contact your Pharmacy first where they will assess you and provide necessary treatment.  If you have blood in your urine, are pregnant or have diabetes you still need to see a GP.

The practice has a protocol to follow as dip testing samples in the surgery does not give the clinical information required.  A sample may need to be sent to the labs at the hospital but before doing so this must be actioned by a clinician. DO  NOT hand in a sample unless you have been asked to do so by a clinician.
